A few years ago we took a motorcycle trip to Glacier National Park and stumbled on the $10 lifetime pass to all US National Parks. Forests and Monuments. We became aware of this at Theodore Roosevelt National Park where we purchased the Senior Lifetime Pass. This has got to be the best senior travel bargain anywhere. In addition most parks offer a 50 percent discount on expanded amenities such as camping.
Entrance fees to National parks run approximately $25 per vehicle for a 7 day pass, and they are park specific. During this two week trip we visited Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Glacier National Park and Yellowstone. We would have spent $75 on entrance fees on that trip had we not purchased the $10 Senior Pass. Since that time we have been in three more National Parks.
They also have a National Park Passport book which has pages for parks, forests, and national monuments. It’s pretty cool. At each park visitor’s center they have rubber stamps so you can mark your passport. It’s a great trip Souvenir.
Note: There are 59 National Parks, 155 National Forests and countless National Monuments.
