Laguna Beach is located about an hour and a half north of San Diego. As close as I can tell there are 20 sandy beaches along a seven mile stretch of coastline in Laguna Beach.
Map of the location of the beaches can be found here:
Laguna Beach has grown from a quaint artists’ colony to a world renowned art center and the beaches, sunsets and landscape provides wonderful settings for artists. Throughout the year there are art festivals, live music, and performing arts. The Pageant of the Masters which takes place in July and August is amazing and is a must see.
The Beach and we chose to go to the Main Beach which is located at the end of Forest Street.
What I love most about spending time on the beach is watching the people, particularly the children at play…
As with all Southern California beach cities, they are crowded and parking is difficult to find. Whether you’re going to spend the day at the beach, shop or attend an event, you will want to arrive very early. Also, you will find gas prices in the beach cities higher than more inland cities. Laguna Beach gas prices on February 16, 2013.
And who doesn’t like to look at a little real estate in upscale beach cities?
