Stockbridge, MA was the setting for Norman Rockwell’s painting “Main Street at Christmas”, and each Christmas Stockbridge ”celebrate Rockwell’s popular depiction of what for many is the quintessential small New England Town, with all the longing for a simpler time that it represents.” Imagine spending three days in Massachusetts surrounded by festive lights and holiday music as you stroll down “Main Street” which is decorated to reflect Rockwell’s painting including the vintage cars.
Camilla and Jay Mead of Rose Apple Acres Farm in Vermont visited Stockbridge: “This is the museum http://www.nrm.org/ Jay and I visited it 2 years ago. Stockbridge is wonderful (truly New England) and the museum is unbelievable as to the history and paintings by Norman Rockwell! Please come!”
You can count on it, dear sister! December 2013! So much to see in Stockbridge and what a wonderful place to spend a few days to revisit past memories of simpler Christmases past. What a blessing it would be if we could return to those times.
