What could be more fun than a day with the grandkids at Emma Krumbee’s Scarecrow Festival in Belle Plaine, Minnesota?
Over the years I have watched the original Emma Krumbee’s grow from a really good restaurant to an amazing complex. The Inn is a wonderful motel and then there’s the General Store with over 10,000 square feet of unique gifts, home décor and fresh-baked pies and pastries. Emma’s restaurant’s slogan is “Made from Scratch, All Day, Emma’s Way!” And Emma’s way is a darn good way. Breakfast has always been my favorite. The fresh-from-the-oven breads are melt-in-your-mouth nummy.
My favorite time to visit is in the fall, specifically during the Scarecrow Festival. The tractor-pulled wagon ride into the apple orchard or to the Great Pumpkin Patch to pick your own apples or select a pumpkin is great fun for the whole family. You can get lost in a maze, or engage in other activities on the farm.
It’s a great place to make a memory!
(Oh, and while you’re in Belle Plaine be sure to stop by and see the 2-story Outhouse)
