ON THE ROAD TO GADSDEN
We’ve had an eventful 5 days and I’ve made lots of notes on observations and travel tips. The scenery was beautiful as we traveled south and Nashville was great with several “must sees”. The Hermitage was especially interesting, and I learned a great cost-cutting tip at the Grand Opry Resort. The Lane Motor Museum was a very nice surprise and of course we couldn’t go through Alabama without seeing Helen Keller’s home. More on all this after I get back home.
I could never move to the south though… the internet connection is sketchy at best. I finally got a decent signal tonight about 10 minutes ago. Don’t know how long I’ll have it and I have to go to bed anyway because we’re going to get a very early start.
We’re staying at the Rodeway Inn in Gadsden, Alabama, and judging by the big trucks and trailers in the parking lot I have a hunch we are not the only ones that will be getting an early start and headed in the same direction. A number of vendors were setting up in the park tonight at Lookout Mountain Parkway. Alabama, from Gadsden to Chattanooga, has over 1000 vendors.
Good night…. hope you enjoy tomorrow as much as I hope to.
